1. Consider the 8 media outlets the team chose to analyze:

• Conservative Fox News is the only tv news outlet on the list (liberal CNN and liberal MSNBC were not included in the analysis; the big three networks CBS, ABC and NBC, that all have well-trafficked websites as well, were also not considered)
• We do not believe that The Weekly Standard (conservative) and Slate (liberal) should have been included in the analysis as they are not straight news outlets (newspapers) - they report/analyze the news from their ideological perspectives.

How do you think including CNN, CBS, ABC and NBC would have affected the analysis of how fairly the media treat Trump vs. Clinton? Explain your answer.

2. Look at the chart: the first four media outlets are considered to be conservative; the last four are considered liberal.  Ask a parent: do you think this is an accurate portrayal of how the media reports on Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump?

3. How do you feel about a candidate after reading or watching a news report on the election?  Do you think the media affects how you view each candidate?  Explain your answer.
