5. Read the information under "Background" below the questions. Watch the videos under "Resources." We don't have to force people to abandon any knowledge or practice of their own culture. It is good for our citizens to learn about the positive aspects of other cultures. But if a culture is directly opposed to our culture/national identity e.g. equal rights for women and for all races, free speech, rule of law, etc., should we promote the culture of the immigrants at the expense of our own? Explain your answer.
