In paragraphs 22-23, it is reported that so far authorities have revealed no evidence that religious extremism motivated Mr. Shahzad, nor have acquaintances recalled him voicing extremist views, and that immigration officials noted that there was "no derogatory information" on him in any database, a law enforcement official said. Shahzad obviously is an extremist - what do you think his motive was for concealing these views?
