NOTE: The earthquake in Haiti is the most important story of the week. Most people will be looking for video footage, as well as the most up-to-the-minute information they can obtain. We cannot provide that, but wanted to acknowledge that we are praying for the people and country of Haiti as rescue efforts continue.

6. Many people will find it surprising that a private company consulted the White House about closing their business in China. Do you think Google would have done so during George W. Bush's presidency? Should private corporations involve the government in their business practices, regardless of who is president? Ask a parent the same questions.
7. Watch the video under "Resources" below (from labnol.org/internet/how-china-censors-internet-sites/8603), which gives details on several of the search terms that are censored (blocked) by Google and others in China. Google has abided by China's censorship rules since opening its China-based site in 2006. (Note that Yahoo does as well.) After it was hacked by the Chinese government last month, Google made the announcement that it would leave the country if forced to censor information.
