A student protester speaking anonymously to the independent student newspaper Columbia Spectator after Columbia University students rushed the stage where invited speaker Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps. was beginning a speech on illegal immigration October 4, 2006. Mr. Gilchrist had to end his speech and was escorted from the stage by security guards. The protester also said the stage takeover was planned.
