Head to the International Whistlers Convention, being held in Louisburg, NC, where some 60 contestants, from schoolkids to folks in their 90s, are puckering up to perform everything from classical music to bird calls.

A Chinese farmer is breezing along in a car he invented — it’s powered by the wind.

Tang Zhengping, of Beijing, says his auto, which has a fan mounted vertically in the front, can go nearly 90 mph and has a range greater than a normal electric car.

“It has two sets of generators and batteries, so one is charging while the other is working,’’ he said.

He got cuffs because his shorts were too baggy.

A 29-year-old man who tried to run from cops in Florida got nabbed after he tripped when his baggy shorts dropped down to his ankles.

He was found guilty of felony charges and trying to flee from police.

Housebreaker

A 9-year-old British schoolboy came home to find a crafty housebreaker curled up asleep on the comforter in his bed — a baby fox.

Alexander West had left the back door open when he went outside the house in Hemel Hempstead, a town north of London, and the fox slinked inside.

“I was absolutely shocked, but Alexander was quite excited and pleased she had chosen his room,’’ his mother said.

“I said it was because it was so messy.’’

Ape over monkeys

A Japanese man who is ape over monkeys and practices running like them has a Guinness World Record as the fastest man on all fours.

Kenichi Ito, 29, modeled his running style — on his hands and feet — on the patas monkey of Africa.

He says he has always liked monkeys, and “I had this ambition to adopt one of their traits. When I saw a monkey that could run fast, I knew I’d found it — and from that point on, I practiced running like a monkey every day.’’
