Warning: This Product Contains Nuts
“A small publishing company is under fire after putting warning labels on copies of the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence and other historical documents,” Fox News reports:

Wilder Publications warns readers of its reprints of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, Common Sense, the Articles of Confederation, and the Federalist Papers, among others, that “This book is a product of its time and does not reflect the same values as it would if it were written today.”

The disclaimer goes on to tell parents that they “might wish to discuss with their children how views on race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and interpersonal relations have changed since this book was written before allowing them to read this classic work.”

A few years ago, a Looney Tunes DVD collection came out featuring a similar warning from Whoopi Goldberg, who added: “And I must tell you, personally, I think Porky never looked so good.”

So, what’ll they slap a warning label on next? PoliticalParlor.net reports on the aftermath of Alabama’s gubernatorial primary:

In his weekly column to his constituents, Democratic State Sen. Hank Sanders reviews how gubernatorial candidate Artur Davis and the New South Coalition (along with ADC) went separate ways.

Rep. Davis is black; the man who beat him, Ron Sparks, is white. The column, reproduced here, includes the following line:

Sometimes the person is more important than the color and this is such a time.

And we must tell you, personally, we think Dr. King never looked so good.
