Michael Eric Dyson, a Georgetown sociologist who is “at work on a book about Obama and race,” has a cover story forthcoming in the new New Republic titled “Yes She Can: Why Hillary Clinton will do more for black people than Obama.” It’s very long, but this sentence seems to sum it up:
If Bill Clinton gave black America bad policy and Obama gave black America no policy, then Hillary Clinton is left only with good policy. She must achieve what her predecessors only promised.
Mr. Clinton used up all the bad policies, so only good ones are left? We must admit, it’s hard to argue with that logic—though wouldn’t it apply equally well to every other candidate, even Donald Trump?
