News of the Tautological
“In advance of the 2012 elections, Republicans have a clear advantage in atmospherics, while Democrats are besting the GOP in organization. Whichever side is able to claim the state-by-state battle will take the White House.”–Reid Wilson, National Journal, Dec. 14
And She Knocked ‘Em Dead in the Talent Competition
“As the first people charged with participating in the Stanley Cup riot appeared in court Wednesday, one defence lawyer suggested his client wants to enter a plea next month,” reports the Vancouver Sun:
“She’s very much looking to resolving this,” lawyer David Bauer told reporters outside court after appearing without his client, Sophie Laboissonniere, 20.
Months before the riot, Laboissonniere won the title of Miss Congeniality at the Miss Coastal Vancouver Pageant.
She is accused of taking part in the looting of the London Drugs store during the June 15 riot. She is facing charges of break-and-enter and participating in a riot.
Wow, Canadians have some funny ideas about congeniality.
