What’s a Little Vote Fraud Among Friends?
In an editorial denouncing legal measures to prevent vote fraud, the New York Times gives away the real agenda behind the anti-antifraud campaign:

It has been a record year for new legislation designed to make it harder for Democrats to vote. . . . The Republicans passing these laws never acknowledge their real purpose, which is to turn away from the polls people who are more likely to vote Democratic. . . . The only reason Republicans are passing these laws is to give themselves a political edge by suppressing Democratic votes.

The Times all but explicitly acknowledges it favors lax voting rules because Democrats benefit from them. Of course the paper also claims there’s no such thing as voter fraud, though it acknowledges that there are sometimes “honest mistakes,” such as “a parent trying to vote for a student away at college.”

And don’t worry, if your parents are dead and you cast ballots in their names, the Times will defend you on the ground that you’re an orphan. Well, provided your late parents vote for Democrats.
