Don’t Believe Everything You Read in the Paper
KTVI, St. Louis’s Fox affiliate, reports on a hate-crime report in southern Illinois:
The Effingham Bomb Squad was called to [Central] City Illinois because of a bomb scare at an Islamic center. The used [sic] a water jet to open the box and found that the box only contained newspaper clippings. The clippings were full of anti-Islamic hate speech. The FBI is investigating.
Have you ever tried to read a newspaper that’s been rained on, much less one that’s been water-jetted on? And what newspaper is this that is “full of anti-Islamic hate speech”? This whole story strikes us as…unbelievable.
