1. Incoming President Trump has asked Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to run the advisory DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), to identify government waste. Musk and Ramaswamy say federal spending could be cut by $2 trillion (the past year’s federal budget was $6.8 trillion). The cartoonist is implying that there is a tremendous amount of government waste that can be cut from the federal budget.
