2. The main idea of this cartoon is pro-Palestinian protesters are blaming the wrong group for causing the destruction in the Gaza Strip and ruining the lives of the Palestinian people. It was forced upon them by Hamas who invaded Israel, assaulted and murdered over one thousand men, women and children – families in their homes and young people at a music festival, and injured thousands more – and then took over 200 hostage into Gaza. It is not Israel, but Hamas who is causing harm to the Palestinian people. The Palestinian people need to be free from Hamas.
