1. This week, two different college student protest groups held a Day/Week of Rage in New York City to protest against the Hamas terrorist organization.
2. The college “Rage” protests began on October 7, which is significant because it is the day Hamas invaded Israel from Gaza one year ago, murdering over 1,000 men, women and children and took over 200 hostage back into Gaza.
3. The Supreme Court’s new session opened this week. Approximately 7,500 cases are sent to the Supreme Court each year and of those the justices agree to hear between 800 to 1,000.
4. The plaintiffs in multiple religious liberty cases have asked the Supreme Court to hear their cases this session. The plaintiffs are mostly citing the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution in their appeals.

7. Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, a 27 year old Afghan citizen was arrested in Oklahoma City this week and charged with conspiring to conduct a terrorist attack on Election Day in the name of ISIS.
8. Tawhedi was able to emigrate to the U.S. with his wife and kids on a Special Immigrant Visa, which is available to people who worked with the U.S. as a translator or interpreter in Iraq or Afghanistan.
9. Columbus Day is a national holiday in the United States, proclaimed so in 1937 by President John F. Kennedy.
10. Among other subjects, Columbus studied seafaring, astronomy, race relations and gender issues.
