The following is an excerpt from OpinionJournal.com’s “Best of the Web” written by the editor, James Taranto.

A Simple Plan
“America should act [in Syria] decisively and in a timely manner, and based on a strategic vision that includes a way out of this war. That would impress American allies and adversaries alike. That is what the world needs and what Mr. Obama should focus on.”–Vali Nasr, New York Times, Sept. 2

Other Than That, the Story Was Accurate
“An article last Sunday about the documentary maker Morgan Spurlock, who has a new film out on the boy band One Direction, misstated the subject of his 2012 movie ‘Mansome.’ It is about male grooming, not Charles Manson. The article also misspelled the name of the production company of Simon Cowell, on whose ‘X Factor’ talent competition show One Direction was created. The company is Syco, not Psycho.”–New York Times, Sept. 1
