A Lean and Hungry Man
In the official White House transcript of Jay Carney’s press briefing, we find this exchange with Fox’s Ed Henry on the question of when the White House learned that the IRS was improperly targeting critics of the president before last year’s elections:
Q: And in terms of voracity [sic], how do you know that it’s April 24th in terms of like has the White House Counsel done some formal review, gone through email, interviewed people, just to make sure that someone in this building did not–
MR. CARNEY: Again, Ed, I think it’s been looked at and we’ve provided you the information. And, again, I would just –it would be great for everybody to step back and ask themselves what is it that we’re learning about the White House and what–
Q: The voracity [sic] of when the White House knew something and tells the public that they learned of it is an important issue, you would agree?
It appears this White House doesn’t even know how to spell veracity.
[Note: voracity is defined as: having or marked by an insatiable appetite for an activity or pursuit; veracity is defined as: devotion to the truth: truthfulness]
